In order to be recognized as the MCSA professional, a person must pass a minimum of two exams for the specific application. The certification is awarded for mastery of a particular application. The exam is designed for mid-level technical professionals who have worked two or three years in a particular field. Sixty-four percent of respondents who have taken the exams report hands-on experience as being necessary in order to pass the exam. What is the difference between the various training options available? A person who has completed the MCSA exam has either attended a bootcamp, individualized training or relied on a tool like the mcsa self paced training kit. The most affordable training option available to professionals preparing for the exam is the self-paced route. The other option is the individualized training. A person can receive one-on-one training. The instructor-led course guides the user through all of the areas the person must be proficient in order to pass the exam. The courses can be anywhere from one day to a full week. What?s required to pass the MCSA Exam? The MCSA exam requires that a person pass a minimum of two exams in order to receive the certifications. The Windows Server 2012, Windows 8 and Windows 7 MCSA exams all require two separate tests to receive the certification. The Windows Server 2008, SQL Server 2012 and the SQL Server 2008 all require three separate exams in order to receive the certification. Self-paced training or one-on-one training? Fifty-five percent of respondents in a recent survey reported making time for study being the hardest part of preparing for the exam. People who have problems with time management may not be a good candidate for relying on the mcsa self paced training kit. A one-on-one individualized training solution may be a better fit for an individual. The cloud-based training options include hands-on lab work and instructor feedback. The mcsa self paced training kit is very ideal for the person who is disciplined. These people can set their own training schedule with benchmarks and stick to the schedule to complete the mcsa self paced training kit. A person should consider their individual study habits, goals and preferences to consider which option is best for their scenario. Research and IT certifications According to research, 95 percent of people who pass the exams do so through self-study utilizing resources like the MCSA self paced training kit. Research indicates that 86 percent of employers consider those with IT training as high priority candidates when screening applicants. Ninety-one percent of employers consider certifications when evaluating potential hires. Sixty-four percent of IT managers rate certifications as being valuable when considering applicants. The first step to preparing for an exam is to set a timeline for taking the exam. Next, the person should identify which training method is best for completing the exam. The average person can pass the exam on the first try with adequate preparation. An estimated 80 percent of people who have taken these exams can pass them on the first attempt. http://www.tomsitpro.com/articles/mcsa-infographic-microsoft-certified-solutions-associate,1-1155.html http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en-us/certification-benefits.aspx [post_title] => MCSA Self Paced Training Kit [post_excerpt] => [post_status] => publish [comment_status] => closed [ping_status] => closed [post_password] => [post_name] => mcsa-self-paced-training-kit [to_ping] => [pinged] => [post_modified] => 2014-01-30 11:36:23 [post_modified_gmt] => 2014-01-30 16:36:23 [post_content_filtered] => [post_parent] => 0 [guid] => http://hatsize.com/?p=2221 [menu_order] => 0 [post_type] => post [post_mime_type] => [comment_count] => 0 [filter] => raw [format_content] => [robotsmeta] => index, follow ) [3] => WP_Post Object ( [ID] => 2104 [post_author] => 2 [post_date] => 2014-01-23 01:06:15 [post_date_gmt] => 2014-01-23 06:06:15 [post_content] => The Hatsize Cloud provides online labs for training institutions and technology companies. By choosing the best solutions provider, a business can ensure that its associates can use a wide variety of hands-on training labs and the most advanced software programs. The Pace When a person signs up for a new lesson, they can complete the lesson at their own pace. In addition, the person can go back to previous parts of the lesson as many times as they would like to before finishing the lesson. Scheduling Lessons A trainer can allow trainees to complete a lesson at any hour of the day or night, or the trainer can schedule the lessons for certain dates and for certain times. Collaborating Online A trusted provider of interactive training solutions will allow trainees to easily collaborate online with experts in a particular field. These experts can help them to complete their lessons, and in addition, they can answer any questions that the trainees may have. Logging On From Any Location A trainee can use the software from any location in the world that provides access to the Internet. Reducing The Costs Of Equipment In the past, companies had to purchase a large amount of equipment in order to effectively train new associates. By using interactive training solutions, a company can reduce the costs of purchasing equipment by up to seventy percent. Measuring A Trainee's Progress A trainer can easily measure the progress of each trainee by allowing them to take tests, and these tests will give detailed descriptions of each trainee's level of aptitude when using certain software programs and particular pieces of hardware. Payment Methods A company can choose to pay a certain fee for each day that it uses the interactive training solutions, or the company can sign up for a monthly subscription. In the long-term, the monthly subscription allows the company to obtain much lower prices. When searching for a company that provides interactive training solutions, there are many things to consider. Some of these include the pace of the lessons, scheduling the lessons, collaborating with other people online, the ability to log on from any location, reducing the costs of equipment, measuring the progress of each trainee and choosing a payment method. From self-checkout at the grocery store to making purchases over the Internet, technology has changed the way many tasks are completed each day. Moreover, one of the areas where technology has impacted the way people approach and complete a variety of tasks is in the field of training. Traditionally, almost all training has been done with an instructor being in front of a group of trainees. Subsequently, the trainees learn the information presented based on the technique used by the instructor. For many years, this method of training was provided using only a book or manual. However, as computer technology started to become a major component in the educational environment, other resources such as PowerPoint presentations displayed on projector screens became a regular part of many training sessions. As technology has continued to evolve, a new training method has emerged— virtual training. This method of training is newly developed, but it has become a popular method for training in many areas over the past decade. In its basic form, virtual training is a training method that uses a hands-on environment that the trainees access remotely from any browser to train and practice performing various tasks. The virtual training provides trainees with the opportunity to face various virtual situations, and the trainees have the opportunity to use their training during these virtual training sessions. This gives the trainees and the instructor a chance to see how the trainees will potentially react under real life conditions. However, the trainees are not exposed to the potential dangers or consequences that a real life situation will provide. The virtual training is a tool that can help reinforce things that have been taught while also providing a chance to improve performance under controlled conditions. Regarding virtual training, it is divided into two different methods: instructor supported and non-instructor supported. Typically, the instructor-supported training uses two screens. One of the screens is for the instructor, and the other screen is for the trainee. In this environment, the instructor is able to create a variety of situations that are likely to occur in a real-life situation. Subsequently, the trainee is able to respond to the provided situations in a manner that is supported by the training method. In the non-instructor supported virtual training method, predetermined situations are provided that the trainee has to respond to immediately, and the training results are evaluated once the training has been completed. In recent years, virtual method training has become an important tool in many fields to teach, reinforce, and evaluate trainees. In addition, as technology continues to improve, virtual method training will continue to advance in use and popularity. The responsive nature of the software will ensure that people grasp all of the concepts that the company wants them to learn The business owner can also gauge the progress of each trainee. A Virtual Instructor A virtual instructor will give each trainee step-by-step instructions for using a certain program or completing a certain task. If the student does not understand the process the first time or would like to review the process again, they can do so with the click of a button. Live Classes In addition to using a virtual instructor, the company can offer live classes with an instructor who is in any location. Students can easily ask and answer questions during the live class. Monitoring Tools The trainer can easily monitor each trainee in order to determine the concepts that they have learned easily and the concepts that they may be struggling with. Furthermore, the trainer can devise various tests in order to determine a trainee's level of aptitude when using a certain software program or a particular piece of hardware. Logging On From Any Location In the past, trainees had to visit a certain location in order to take lessons. However, now trainees can use the online training software from any location or building that offers access to the Internet. Now, companies can save around 70% of the costs of purchasing new equipment by using online training software. Training Sales Representatives And Increasing Revenue Various studies have indicated that well-trained sales representatives are likely to make more sales during a certain period of time than representatives who have not been trained by a regimented program. Using The Logo The training software can be customized in order to show the logo of the business. Prices A company can pay a fee for each day that a particular trainee uses the online training software, or the company can choose to sign up for a monthly subscription. Usually, the monthly subscription is much more inexpensive in the long-term. There are many benefits to using online training software. Some of these include a virtual instructor, live classes, monitoring tools, allowing trainees to log on from any location, easily scheduling lessons, online collaboration, decreasing the costs of equipment, training sales representatives, using the logo of the company and low prices. Corporate training is sometimes necessary, for example, when launching a new product, improving sales, or customer service departments. Luckily, there are on-line training software programs that allow your team to get the corporate education that they need without ever having to leave the comfort of the office. These training solutions are provided over the Cloud so that you always have access to your training information no matter where you are or what you are doing. Advantages of On-Line Training Software On-line training software provides you with a number of advantages that you simply can't get with a physical trainer. Hatsize 4.1 Enables Virtual Training Lab Delivery on any HTML5 Enabled Browser or Mobile Device

Hatsize today launched Hatsize 4.1, the latest release of their flagship cloud-based training lab platform, which includes groundbreaking HTML5 support, virtual classroom integration, international keyboard support, a new portal user interface, and cut and paste support to virtual machines.

Hatsize 4.1 was designed based on customer feedback and to address the industry-wide browser plug-in issue. Plug-ins such as Java, Flash and ActiveX present both security and usability issues, which is why both Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome browsers plan to stop supporting plug-ins for their browsers within the next year.

With the emergence of HTML5, there is a new and better way for browsers to deliver multimedia content to users.  Hatsize is one of the first training lab providers to leverage the power of this new web standard, revolutionizing the student and instructor experience.

HTML5 is Important for Training Labs

HTML5 is critically important for training labs because it enables delivery to any HTML5 enabled browser and to any HTML5 enabled mobile device.  Mobile training is becoming increasingly important and with HTML5, training labs can now be delivered to mobile devices including tablets.

In addition, HTML5 is particularly useful for training labs because students need very rich multimedia content to ensure a high quality training experience. With Hatsize 4.1, HTML5 is fully integrated so students can get install-free, one-click access to their virtual training labs.  Hatsize clients now have the ability to choose how they want to access their lab environments.

“The response to Hatsize 4.1 has been phenomenal,” said Guy Hummel, Hatsize CEO. “Our customers are extremely interested in adopting the HTML5 client, international keyboard support and virtual classroom integration capabilities.”

New features in Hatsize 4.1 include the following:

Key Features

Why They Matter

HTML 5 Client Support & Integration

Hatsize now offers full support and integration for HTML5, the new web standard for delivering rich, multimedia content.  There are three benefits to Hatsize clients.  First, they get install-free access to training labs; no extra browser plug-in such as Java, Flash or ActiveX is required. Second, they can connect to virtual machines faster because they don’t need to load any plug-in. Third, they can access their training labs on any HTML5 enabled browser or mobile device such as a tablet.  This enables Hatsize clients to deliver their training labs via mobile devices for the first time.

Additional benefits include an onscreen keyboard for entering special key combinations such as control-alt-delete and install-free, one-click access from thumbnails to different systems within their training labs.  Note: Hatsize’s HTML5 Client supports RFB and RDP protocols.

Virtual Classroom Integration

Hatsize is now integrated with virtual classrooms such as Adobe Connect and Citrix GoToMeeting.  As a result, Hatsize can now schedule and run virtual classes with or without labs.  This enables Hatsize clients to offer online training events from one integrated system.  In the past, clients would have to log into two separate platforms in order to set up and manage virtual classroom and virtual lab training sessions.  Now Hatsize clients can simply log into Hatsize 4.1 to schedule an online class and the students can access both the virtual classroom and the labs from the same interface.  Plus, clients can now run usage reports from Hatsize 4.1 to track student usage of both labs and virtual classes.

New Portal User Interface

The Hatsize Portal has a new and improved user interface that has been optimized for both students and instructors.  In addition, the portal now includes integration with WordPress, which enables richer content delivery to students. Note: Hatsize Portal is a role-based portal that is the initiation point for launching multiple courses that run virtually in Hatsize Lab View. The new portal user interface currently supports synchronous training events as part of Hatsize 4.1 and will support dynamic, self-paced events in the near future.

International Keyboard Support

The Hatsize HTML5 Client automatically detects and supports the type of keyboard a student is using.

Cut and Paste to Virtual Machines

Enables students and instructors to cut and paste text from their own system to a virtual machine running within a course in Hatsize Lab View.  This feature will also be enabled soon for the HTML5 Client.

While online training has been with us for awhile, developments in technology have allowed training departments to offer more effective and engaging courses. For example, software training online is used by large and small businesses as a cost-effective way to keep up with the rapid pace of change in software development. Software packages tend to add more features as they grow. It can be difficult for end users to be knowledgeable on the many different ways they can accomplish their tasks. A powerful online training solution lets users gain new knowledge when they have the time to go through the training modules. Consistent Training For management, online training allows them to offer a consistent level of training all over the world. It does not matter if the student or staff member is in India or London, an online training solution will deliver the same education. Since many modern companies hire people from different countries and cultures, consistency in training is critical to organizational effectiveness. An online training solution has many other benefits. They include: --Quality instruction by teachers who have passed strict certification tests. --Coursework and online software that is delivered rapidly—enhancing speed of learning. --Customization of the learning experience for each student. --Clear and useful guides to increase comprehension. Flexible Schedules Additionally, some learning centers provide vouchers for students to practice their training when they have the time available. No matter what day or time they decide to take the training, the same quality instruction is available to them. Many departments and job roles can benefit from an online training solution. Engineers can get the latest information on systems and procedures. Salespeople can be informed of the latest product information and sales techniques. Support staff can be introduced to new ways to help customers find what they need. Marketing departments can bring other departments up to date on the latest campaigns. Easy To Revise Online training can be updated, revised, and adapted to many audiences. The same core course can be altered to appeal to various departments in different countries. Each region will have different training needs. An online training solution gives them the facilities they need to create the most impactful modules for their team. The challenge is to efficiently get top experts, trainers, and instructors in front of key workers at the right time. For new product introductions, the opening of a new department, or bringing a new factory online, training is the glue that holds it altogether. Unless important workers are trained properly in the latest techniques, the company will operate less efficiently. Operating with greater optimization is the key to higher sales and healthier profit margins.
