Guy Hummel, Founder & President
Guy brings over two decades of technology vision and proven experience in complex enterprise system development and integration and product delivery. He is a coveted mentor and leader to our development team. Guy has multifaceted experience, having spent time in the IT industry as an entrepreneur, manager, architect, sales engineer, and trainer. Before founding Hatsize in 2000, Guy was Information Systems Manager at Kelman Technologies, a high-tech data services company. He was hired to turn Kelman’s fragmented IT infrastructure into a solid foundation for rapid business growth, a task which he and his team accomplished in less than two years. Prior to Kelman, Guy was a Sales Engineer at Sun Microsystems in Canada and holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Calgary.
Tom Hull PhD, CTO
Tom leads Hatsize’s technology architecture and direction, and brings a wealth of experience in envisioning, designing and developing customer-centric products. Tom brings over 22 years of IT industry experience in a variety of development and management roles with leading high-tech firms including British Telecom, Sun Microsystems, and MetroNet Communications. Tom spent 7 years with Sun Microsystems at their International Center for Network Computing in Grenoble, France, focused on product development, quality assurance, and product support. He also has extensive expertise in very large-scale project management, conformance testing for networking products, and managing global teams. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Queens University, Belfast.
David Howard, CFO
David Howard is an accomplished Chartered Accountant who brings more than 15 years of industry experience as the head of Finance and Accounting at six technology companies, private and public. As CFO, David leads Hatsize’s financial planning, treasury management, investor relations and financial reporting as well as being responsible for leases, contracts, audit, tax and board governance. Most recently, as Corporate Controller at Elluminate Inc., a training technology company, David played a significant role in their successful acquisition and integration with Blackboard Inc., a U.S. public company. David has a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the University of Manitoba, is a 16-year member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta, and has spoken publicly on several financial topics such as “The Pros and Cons of Going Public”.
Edwin (Andy) McBride, VP Operations
Andy is a veteran virtual lab operations leader. As VP of Operations, he is responsible for managing the Hatsize Cloud global datacenters and the solution architect, infrastructure and customer support teams. Prior to joining Hatsize, McBride was Manager of Global Lab Strategy for Citrix Systems, Inc. Prior to Citrix, McBride was the Chief Architect and Manager for the Hewlett-Packard Virtual Lab overseeing all operations, which enabled over 60% of the revenue for HP Education Services. During McBride’s leadership, the HP Virtual Lab was awarded two ASTD awards. Prior to HP, McBride was a trainer and instructional designer for the mobility space. McBride holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Physics from the University of the State of New York.
Vicki Morris, VP Marketing
Vicki is an award-winning marketing executive with over 21 years of cloud and enterprise software marketing experience. At Hatsize, she leads company, field and product marketing strategies. Previously, Vicki was Chief Marketing Officer for a marketing agency supporting multiple cloud software companies including Abiquo. Before that, she was VP of Marketing for Saba, a cloud-based people management software company that she helped grow from $34M to $100M. At Sun Microsystems, Vicki successfully launched Java, and was awarded the President’s Award for best contribution to the company. She has been recognized by BtoB Magazine, MarketingSherpa, International Association of Business Communications and Graphic Design USA Magazine as a marketing leader. Vicki started her career at Oracle, while completing her MBA at the University of Chicago. She also has a Bachelors of Science degree from Georgetown University.
